Manu was first introduced to batik as a visiting musician to The Gambia, West Africa, where he instantly identified with batik as a cultural art form that he wanted to explore as a young British Jamaican artist growing up in London.

He now lives in the Golden Valley of Herefordshire where he continues his work as an artist and musician.

His paintings reflect his passion for the glorious and colourful diversity of People and Planet serving as an ally to his musical creations. Through his work he invokes words and images that are sympathetic to people in their efforts to survive in a rapidly changing world.
